A FaceBook badge is a rectangular box containing your FaceBook profile image, your last FaceBook status statement, and other information. Placing a badge on your web page or blog gives an opportunity for gaining friends from among your visitors. It’s easy to create one.

First, log into your FaceBook account and click on Profile. Scroll down the page, watching the left column. Near the bottom you’ll see a link that says “Create a Profile Badge.” It should be under your Friends box unless you have other things listed in your left column. When you click on that you’ll see a sample of the badge and the html code will appear in a box. You’ll also see choices for getting code for Blogger, MySpace, and TypePad.

You can edit your badge by clicking Edit on the top right of the page. The edit screen gives you several options: Your badge can be vertical or horizontal, then you can choose what features you want included in your badge. When you are finished click Save.

Copy the html code.

Add the badge as a widget in your WordPress blog. It will appear in the right column of most templates.

9. Click Save Changes.

Visit your blog and your badge should appear on the front page.

There’s a lot more to making money from home with a MLM business opportunity than most independent representatives want you to know.  The information I’m sharing with you most of them would rather you didn’t know because they want you sign up quick without too much thought.    

If you are serious about making money from home with a MLM business opportunity you must be aware of several key elements that will make a difference in your success.  

I’m Warren Franklin.  I’ve been a MLM business owner for over 10 years.  For years I walked the trail of tears making just about every mistake possible.  Then just over five years ago I discovered a better way to build my business.  Now I own one of the largest organizations in my MLM company.  I did it by utilizing the same key elements I’m sharing with you. 

Why am I sharing this information with you?  Frankly, I’m tired of seeing good people sign up with a MLM business only to fail after a few months of effort.  It’s time everyone understood how to make money from home.

Questions you should ask are:

To make money from home you have work with a MLM business opportunity that is on the cutting edge of the industry with proven products and services.  If you find you are past the bubble of opportunity or the competition is high from other MLM companies the chances of succeeding are much more difficult. 

You have to ask, “How aggressive is the company at staying ahead of the industry?”  Is the company constantly looking for better ways to serve the public or has it stagnated and looking similar to the competition?  Being ahead of the curve means longevity and that means long term income for you as long as the products or services are useful and in demand.

Just as important, are customers happy with the products or services?  It’s pretty simple to check out the overall satisfaction for the company and what it offers with the Internet.  Do a search to see what past customers and business partners are saying about them.  You can always expect some negative comments, however, if you find whole web sites dedicated to the dissatisfaction of the company you might want to steer away from them. 

What is your initial investment to the company?  What do you get for your money?  Is there a start up kit and what is in it?  Do you have annual renewal fees with this business?  How long will it take and what do you need to do to get that money back?

Many nutritional based MLM businesses require you purchase $100 or more of product a month.  When you have a love and passion for the products you can live with this, however, if you signed up because you could see a big opportunity to make money from home you won’t last very long.  Make sure you really want the products offered before you sign up and are required to purchase them every month.

Remember, you will be asking business associates to sign, use the same products and make the same commitment.  When you have a passion for the products you can do that, but it is hard to ask people to do something that you aren’t sold on.

Who sponsors you into a MLM business opportunity is as important as determining the company and the products or services they offer.   One of the biggest mistakes most people make in this industry is signing up with people who don’t know what they are doing and don’t know how to teach you how to build your MLM business. 

Make sure you find a sponsor who either knows what he is doing or has experienced business associates who are willing to work with you.

Quitting is the biggest reason for failure.  Most people give up too soon.  They never give their business a chance to grow and develop.  It takes time to grow a large MLM business and make money from home.  Have patience, work hard and your business will grow.

There are a lot of ways to find customers in your Facebook network of friends, but most of them are not effective. Here’s how to introduce yourself to people on Facebook to find new customers quickly and effectively.When you find someone on Facebook that is a potential customer (either by the groups they belong to, the books they read, the business they run, or any number of other clues), you want to invite them to be your friend. When you do, it’s a good idea to leave them a message describing how you know them and asking them something about them selves. For example: “Hi Matthew, I notice we’re both part of a small business group. I’m looking for friends in business. What’s your company? Tell me a bit about what you do.”If you don’t hear from somebody but they accept you as a friend, you are then welcome to send them another note similar to: “Good to have you as a friend, John! I don’t think I know you personally. Tell me something interesting about yourself. What is it that you do?”These are the exact messages I use to get in contact with potential customers on Facebook. People generally respond well to them because I’m asking them questions about themselves. People love talking about themselves. When people start responding to these messages, you want to ask them more questions. Questions make three things possible. With them you can easily:1) draw people into a conversation2) control the conversation so it doesn’t wander off onto some other topic, and 3) keep the conversation as short as possible. We, as business people, are not interested in wasting time. So you want to keep these conversations short while still being social and conversational. To do this, you must know exactly what information you’re looking for so you can guide the conversation. For example, I teach business owners how to get more traffic to their web site. That being the case, the first message I send to someone I want to find out if they run their own business (which is why I ask “What is it that you do?” in the examples above).If they do run their own business, I want to find out if they have a web site.If they do, I want to find out if they’d like to get more traffic to that site. If they do, then I have established a connection with a potential customer. I can now offer them my services. I can even give them free advice based on their situation and really score points with my potential customers. It’s very simple: Keep your emails short and to the point, and ask them questions about themselves to find out if they’d benefit from what your business offers. You can find many new leads a day this way, and the great thing is you have established a personal connection with them in the process.
